This project combines the power and flexibility of the newest LEGO® robotics hardware, the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3™, with features in Simulink® for developing algorithms and control systems.
To run Simulink models on LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3, you use the Simulink Support Package for LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Hardware. The support package includes prebuilt Simulink blocks for configuring and accessing LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 sensors and actuators. It also lets you monitor and tune algorithms running on LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 hardware from the same Simulink models from which you developed the algorithms.
This project walks you through the steps to set up a wired or wireless connection to the EV3 host, create your model, and configure and run that model on the EV3 hardware. Once your application is up and running, you can test its operation and deploy it. To help you get started quickly, the project even includes a preconfigured model designed to run on EV3 hardware.
